Financial Controller - Blackwaters : Job Details

We’re recruiting a Financial Controller for a well-funded, high-growth manufacturing business in Crawley. Reporting to the CFO, you will manage the day-to-day finance operations, lead a small team, and ensure the production of accurate and timely financial information. Salary up to £84,000 plus hybrid working.

This hands-on role offers a chance to drive process improvements and support the business as it scales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit financial statements (IFRS) and manage R&D tax claims
• Produce monthly management accounts and board reports
• Oversee two direct reports and support their development
• Manage cash flow and enhance financial processes and controls
• Support operations and commercial teams with financial insight
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and KPI dashboard development
• Deputise for the CFO as needed

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant with strong IFRS knowledge
• Hands-on, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Experience in fast-growing, PE/VC-backed businesses a plus
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Confident working autonomously in a dynamic environment
