Job Description :

Think Accountancy and Finance are supporting a long-standing partner with the recruitment of a Financial Controller for their office in Otley in West Yorkshire.

This is a key hire for the team and they are looking for a Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant who will be responsible for managing the finance team and key components for the operational finance within the business. This is a Group role so they are looking for someone who has group experience and exposure in a high growth company.

Over the next 12-18 months the role will include bringing together and consolidating 4 businesses.

  • Monthly management reporting (8 companies)
  • Variance analysis and insightful commentary
  • Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations
  • Review the key control accounts
  • Supervising and managing financial staff at various levels
  • Overseeing billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Oversee the monthly staff payroll
  • Oversee the audit process and liaise with auditors
  • Implement bespoke business critical systems

Key role requirements:

  • Must be qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Be positive, self motivated and able to work effectively without close supervision
  • Highly organised with a structured approach to work
  • Dependable and committed to delivering high quality work
  • Strong interpersonal skills as the role will involve working directly with customers from time to time
  • Experience with Sage and Xero would be beneficial

To start with this role will be full time office. You will be managing a team and it is essential to build strong working relationships with them.

Salary : 60000 - 65000
