Financial Controller - Mitchell Adam : Job Details

An emergent contract management business based in Birmingham are searching for an ambitious, talented and proactive Financial Controller to strengthen its senior management team. Working closely with the Group Finance Director and managing a finance team of 4, you will assume a key role in guiding the day-to-day operations of the business - informing and making commercial decisions that will contribute significantly to the sustained growth of this division. There is a focus on understanding the complex operations of this business, and in partnering with operation staff to ensure that sound controls are in place and that margins and profitability are always maximised.

Ideally, you will:

• Have previously worked in a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or Finance Manager role and be looking for a role with more autonomy and exposure to decision-making and day-to-day operations
• Be a CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant with an excellent commercial acumen, and good quality operational finance experience
• Have good experience in another business that deals with a high volume of contracts and sub-contracts - you should understand the complexity behind implementing tight financial controls to high-volume contract accounting
