Job Description :

Reed Finance are currently partnered with a successful and long established client in the local area who are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team.  As Financial Controller you will support the operation of their International Finance department. This role is crucial for the preparation of monthly accounts and overhead schedules, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of financial statements and consolidations. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified ACCA/CIMA professional with a strong background in finance management across multiple international entities.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidation for review by the Finance Director.
  • Ensure the accounts department maintains robust processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Review control account reconciliations and provide backup support for the International Accountant/Credit Controller.
  • Manage and approve bank payments and oversee pensions and payroll for all sites.
  • Lead and manage direct reports including Finance Admin Assistant, Accounting Assistant, and International Accountant.
  • Assist the Finance Director in preparing materials for audits for both local and overseas companies.
  • Engage in continuous learning with MS Dynamics for self and direct reports.
  • Handle various ad hoc projects as directed by the Finance Director.
  • Act as a stand-in for the Finance Director when not on site.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • Experience with finance/controllership responsibilities for multiple international legal entities.
  • Understanding of US and UK GAAP
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent commercial and financial awareness.
  • Proven ability to adapt and think innovatively within the finance role.
  • Strong delegation, teamwork, and relationship management skills.
