Reed Finance are currently partnered with a established client in the local area in the recruitment of a Financial Controller to join their team. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance, maintaining financial stability, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role involves managing various accounting operations, creating financial statements, projections and forecasting.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Overseeing AP, AR, billing, costing and revenue
- Manage and control cash-flow and ensure company compliance
- Liaising with various departments and associated companies
- Manage month-end and year-end close
- Identify accounting and financial issues and resolving
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Project accounting
- Regulatory reporting and tax returns
- Implementing and improving policies and procedures.
- Overseeing a small team
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a manufacturing or construction related background with some project accounting experience
- ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Ability to work on own initiative and quick to learn.
- Analytical with excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly structured/organised.
- Strong IT skills
