Financial Controller - Axon Moore Group Ltd : Job Details

Financial Controller | Oldham, North Manchester | £65,000 - £70,000 + bonus | SME Axon Moore have partnered with a leading Transport & Logistics Group as they look to appoint a number 1 in Finance, for one of their subsidiary businesses based in North Manchester. Reporting and partnering with the MD and Commercial Director, you will be expected to manage a small team whilst acting as a lead on all things budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, balance sheet control etc.Responsibilities include: 

• Prepare and consolidate financial reports across business units, ensuring accuracy and clarity for senior management.
• Manage the balance sheet to accurately reflect the company's financial position.
• Oversee bank accounts and cash flow forecasting, collaborating closely with the Managing Director.
• Enhance the internal control environment by identifying and implementing improvements.
• Lead financial management services for central functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with processes such as audits is successfully delivered.
• Provide effective leadership and development.
• Implementation of appropriate financial controls and governance and driving continuous improvement of accounting practices

Ideal candidate:

• CIMA, ACCA, ACA Qualified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• SME experience with a hands-on approach
