Financial Controller - Reed : Job Details

Reed Finance are partnered with a sustainable energy company in Bracknell who are seeking a new Financial Controller to join them and be part of their significant growth journey. Reporting into the Divisional Finance Director, this role would be responsible for one part of a Group's finance function, leading a team of eight, and offers the opportunity to drive business performance and profit within a supportive but very fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drive business performance. Understand and report on business plan deviation and ensure delivery of improvement actions.
• Ensure delivery of the team objectives. Provide day to day line management, supervision and coaching for reports ensuring a clear set of priorities and targets are communicated and regular review sessions are implemented to drive performance.
• Forge a strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and pursuit of strategic finance goals, through capital allocation and commercial decision making.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, optimise working capital management, and improve efficiency.

 You must be a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant with previous experience within a FC role and demonstrable commercial experience. You will have experience overseeing management accounts, business reporting, and financial operations, and have strong commercial acumen alongside the ability to interpret financials into meaningful business recommendations.

You will communicate well, have prior experience managing teams, and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.

This role offers some hybrid working but is mostly based out of the offices in Bracknell; candidates requiring 2+ days working from home will not be suitable. There is some travel to an additional site in Southampton a couple of times a month.

Salary offered is £70-80k per annum (depending on experience) and comes with good benefits including car allowance, and increased holiday with service.
