Job Description :
We are delighted to partner with a highly successful and well-established manufacturing company in their search for a Financial Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented finance team and play a pivotal role in the company's financial operations. Currently transitioning from Sage 50 to Sage 200, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in driving this transformation. This role is ideal for a driven finance professional aspiring to progress into an FD role in the near future, with a clear path for growth and development within the organisation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage working capital, including cashflow, debtors, and currency, with detailed 6-month cashflow forecasting.
  • Ensure accurate financial records, robust internal controls, and system integrity.
  • Monitor performance against budgets, focusing on gross margin, product, and customer analysis.
  • Lead project-based reporting to track progress, revenue, and costs against profit expectations.
  • Oversee month-end reconciliations, payroll processing, and cost management for efficiency.
  • Administer the accounting system, providing training and ensuring proper access.
  • Deliver timely financial reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Support the FD with tax strategy, compliance, and return submissions.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified CIMA professional.
  • Experience as a Financial Controller in an SME manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership of a finance team.
  • Ideally, experience with Sage and Power BI.
  • Must be locally based.
