Responsibilities

  • Ensure the daily cash flow is up to date.
  • Reconcile the invoice discounting facility or factoring alongside all bank accounts.
  • Update Xero and ensure all invoices and payroll are sent.
  • Manage age debt collection.
  • Control the monthly commission payable to colleagues.
  • Oversee all bank reporting.
  • Collate all information required under UK law to pay all taxes.
  • Preparation and review of annual accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for all contractual workers placed with clients.
  • Oversee the payment process for contractors, ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
  • Act as the financial point of contact for clients, handling inquiries and resolving any billing or payment issues.
  • Ensure all financial practices adhere to UK regulations, particularly those affecting employment and contract work.
  • Reconciliation and payment of creditors.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop, manage, and oversee the company’s annual budgeting process.
  • Provide accurate forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including local and international laws.
  • Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Regularly review and analyse expenses to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Management of Company credit cards

Additional

  • Get involved in our compliance system regarding the preparation and analysis of compliance
  • documents and drafting contracts for candidates and clients if needed
  • Assure the gatekeeping for our CRM and manage the completeness of the placements
  • CRM administration including management of targets and billing data
  • Manage, edit and approve these placements regarding their fulfilment status
  • Overseeing the compliance of our active runner base and analyse risk regarding project
  • deployment
  • Generating new permanent terms, contract MSA’s and contractor extensions
  • Supporting leadership with the presentation of monthly/quarterly business updates
  • Supplier management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Previous experience in the recruitment or staffing industry, particularly in IT or contractual staffing.
  • Strong knowledge of UK laws and regulations, particularly those relating to contract workers.
  • Knowledge in financial modeling and forecasting for businesses with a high volume of contractual transactions.
