A dynamic global start-up revolutionizing digital writing and data solutions are currently looking for a Global Financial Controller to join them on a very exciting journey! With a presence across the US, Europe, and the UK they are looking for someone who has expereince in a control’s environment, international accounting, global consolidation and IFRS.

About the job

The Global Controller will be responsible for consolidated group reporting for a publicly listed company, including review of local entity accounts and multi-currency, multi-subsidiary consolidation in compliance with IFRS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop regional accounting teams to ensure consistent policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, including Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Compliance, to provide critical financial insights and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, supporting decision-making through data-driven insights.
  • Direct, support, and where necessary, perform the duties of general and international accounting, multi-entity consolidation, internal and external financial reporting, budgeting and analysis, and cash management.
  • Prepare and publish timely quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with reporting requirements as a publicly listed company
  • Manage the annual interim and year end external audit (Group) and local statutory audits for required entities by acting as the first point of contact for compliance partners and auditors
  • Oversee and support statutory reporting required for subsidiaries
  • Collaborate with and support the development, implementation, and oversight of required financial systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to management team to support decision making

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA or CIMA)
  • Preferably experience with a publicly listed company or start-up
  • Experience in accounting/controllership, including leadership roles in global or multi-entity organisations.
  • IFRS knowledge and consolidation experience

 

Salary : 90000 - 100000
