We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial operations. This individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and ensuring that the company's financial strategies align with its business goals.

Description
- Lead the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, providing insights and recommendations to leadership on financial performance.
- Support the fundraising and investor relations process, ensuring all financial records and reports are prepared and delivered on time.
- Develop and implement financial controls, processes, and systems to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain and monitor tax filings, financial audits, and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial analysis to support decision-making by senior management, identifying areas for cost control and revenue growth.
- Work alongside the CFO to drive financial strategy and business planning.
Profile
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial management role, ideally within a fast-paced or start-up environment, preferably in biotech, pharma, or a related sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- High proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proven experience in fundraising, investor reporting, and managing financial compliance is highly desirable.
