Robertson Bell is proud to partner with a specialist public sector body in Northamptonshire, to recruit a permanent Financial Controller. This exciting role offers you the opportunity to contribute to a growing finance team, while also advancing your professional development in a supportive and collaborative environment.

In this Financial Controller role, you will:

  • Oversee year end responsibilities, being fully involved in managing the statutory accounts.
  • Manage a team of four, upskilling and training them. You should use excellent verbal and written communication skills to achieve this.
  • Be the central point of contact for everything audit, including managing the interim internal process.
  • Work closely with both external and internal stakeholders to improve processes and enhance efficiency within the finance department.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Had full ownership of the year end process, being well adept at managing statutory accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong people management skills, being able to approach each situation in a fair but firm manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Be a fully CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant.
