Financial Controller£100,000 - £120,000 + BenefitsAre you a Qualified Financial Controller comfortable in a hands-on and varied, all-encompassing finance role? Aila is partnered with a £40m services business in London that is looking to hire a confident and technically strong Financial Controller to join its leadership team.About the Company:

• 10 years old, owner managed leading services business in North London
• £40m Revenue and strong EBITDA, with a strategy focused on continuous growth

The Role:Working closely with the CFO to support and shape the business in its future vision, the Financial Controller will business partner with the senior management team supporting strategic decision-making for the business. You will ensure all financial processes and controls are in place for reporting, audit and compliance and implement changes in accounting policies to improve controls and drive efficiency.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end reporting, including P&L review and variance analysis
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, monitoring performance and recommending mitigation actions
• Support FP&A with client P&Ls and department budget reporting
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and forecasting to ensure financial stability
• Ensure financial controls, compliance with regulations, and fraud prevention measures
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
• Lead and mentor the finance team, driving performance and development
• Oversee statutory accounting, VAT returns, and tax compliance
• Support the annual audit and balance sheet reviews with senior finance leaders.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with at least 5 years PQE
• Previous experience in a month-end finance role, ideally within an SME taking control of everything
• Prior audit and reporting experience, with comfort in leading on month & year-end
• Extensive experience in currency & cash flow management
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and partner with the business
