Our client in Newcastle upon Tyne, a privately owned business, is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller.The company operates in business services and has a strong regional reputation, exhibiting a strong historical record of growth. Future prospects are similarly good.The person will report to the Managing Director, alongside a senior managemennt team and will be central to providing financial and commercial support to the business. The role covers all aspects of finance, systems and IT, at a detailed level, this will include;- Financial reporting, monthly and statutory Budgeting and forecasting Cash management Management of a small finance and admin team Input into taxation related issues Systems implementation and ongoing development thereof This represents a rare opportunity for someone to make a real mark, and potentially progress to a Board level position in future.Potential candidates should be qualified accountants with strong communications skills, techincal competence is taken for granted.The client is open to sector background, and will also consider those seeking a first move into industry from practice.It is envisaged that basic salary will be in the £55,000 to £65,000 range with bonus and associated benefits.
