Fixed Term Contract Duration - 11 Months What the Hiring Manager saysThis is a key role at an exciting time in the evolution of the Risk function, in a busy Financial Crime team which is part of a larger Risk team. The role will support the Manager for financial crime frameworks, technology, projects. You will work alongside our Risk and Compliance colleagues across the Risk function so you will be a part of a wider Risk and Compliance community and have opportunities to learn about other areas of the Quilter business. This is an ideal role for someone who has 1-3 years background in financial crime with an interest in utilising technology & change management practices to enhance the maturity of the financial crime framework.   • Contribute to the development of Quilter's financial crime risk strategy and associated risk framework, supporting the development and embedding of the framework and associated documentation.
  • Support and where desired, steer enhancements and efficiencies (including the financial crime improvement plan), driving the use of technology and automation, to provide more data led insight and risk monitoring.
  • Build relationships with 3rd party technology providers and support the engagement to monitor service provided and explore further opportunities for technology usage to increase efficiency and automation.
  • Input into the key messaging around financial crime risk profile and top risks for management information (MI), working collaboratively with other Risk teams towards the production of quality and insightful reporting.
  • Provide support to financial crime projects to optimise implementation of regulatory change and other initiatives, providing advice and guidance to stakeholders, escalating to the Manager for financial crime frameworks, technology, projects as necessary.
  • Be actively involved as a Financial Crime representative on business wide project, ensuring key decisions & actions are logged and acted upon accordingly.
  • Actively engage & where necessary assist with developments within the Financial Crime Advisory & Investigation teams.
  • Support the Financial Crime team in ensuring Quilter-wide financial crime policies align and evolve with the financial crime framework. Contributing to the annual review of the effectiveness of their operation, whilst supporting conversations with stakeholders regarding any issues or enhancements.
  • Remain abreast with regulatory & legislative developments to ensure the financial crime framework is forward looking in its being.
  • Use broader skills and knowledge to contribute to a climate of continuous improvement, ensuring best practice is applied across the function.

  • Experience of 2nd line financial crime risk management in an FCA regulated Financial Services environment, or strong Change/Operations experience looking for a different challenge.
  • Good financial crime IT and technology skills and background.
  • Good communication skills (both written and oral), with strong stakeholder management & relationship building skills.
