Finance Data Analyst

London Hybrid

£80,000 per annum

We have partnered with a global media business who are looking to appoint a passionate finance data analyst to sit within the FP&A team. This individual will be comfortable with dealing with large sets of data as well as partnering with global teams to ensure the information is received on time. If you have proven experience within a finance team and are comfortable compiling and cleaning large data sets, building analytical models, comfortable with validation tools and building comprehensive dashboards, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and compile information from various internal databases and systems across the regions
  • Create and maintain financial models to support the forecasting and budgeting process including the validation process
  • Provide insight on variance analysis and trend identification
  • Partner with various regions to get information required from various data sources
  • Collate and consolidate data to ensure accurate financial analysis
  • Create useful dashboards to ensure clear visibility for FP&A purposes
  • Database management and monitoring
  • Support to senior leadership with board decks and leadership updates
  • Actively contribute to operational improvement projects linked to process analysis, solution design, implementation plans, training and communication.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant qualification
  • 3-5 years' experience in finance and/or accounting
  • Proven experience dealing with large datasets in complex environments
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial metric as well as forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Systems experience - Netsuite, Snowflake, Workday, Salesforce and G-Suite
  • Visual analytics tools - Tableau
  • Advanced excel
  • Experience organising and analysing large data sets from multiple sources.

The client operates a hybrid working model with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
