Financial Data Analyst - 1st Choice Rec : Job Details

A fantastic client of ours based in Huntingdon is looking for a dynamic and data driven Financial Data Analyst to join their team. This role is key in supporting business operations by assisting with the creation and production of daily,weekly and monthly reports consisting of relevant management information and KPIs. This role will be pivotal in the development of customer reports and information for third party stakeholders.  

In this role, you will be responsible for: 

• Interrogation ofmultiple systems to mine data and create informative MI for managers across the business.
• Build complex models from the ground up, utilising data from a diverse range of systems.
• Create commercial models with complex pricing and costing structures to determine profitability
• Creation and maintenance of reporting for new ERP system creating a cycle of continuous improvement in management information and KPIs
• Collaborate with group systems to utilise and develop the datawarehouse and Power BI reporting

To be suitable for this role, you must have the following skills: 

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Excel i.e. Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
• Experience withwriting SQL queries and understanding databases is essential
• Power BI experienceis desirable
• Clear, logical analytical approach to problem-solving
• Ability to investigate data, find trends, forecast performance and provide insightful recommendations
• Proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues in different business areas
