About You as Financial Reporting Manager:

The Financial Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in the organization’s financial reporting, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FCA regulations, and managing the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements. Qualifications: It is essential that the candidate is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

The Role of Financial Reporting Manager:

• Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, FRS 102), and alignment with FCA regulatory requirements
• Oversee the preparation of management accounts, providing insightful financial analysis to senior management
• Ensure compliance with all FCA and regulatory reporting requirements, including preparation of reports for the FCA, HMRC, and other regulatory bodies
• Manage and coordinate year-end audits, liaising with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate smooth audit processes
• Develop and implement robust financial reporting processes and controls, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy
• Support the Finance Director and senior leadership team with financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders, including board members and regulators, explaining variances and key financial trends
• Provide technical accounting advice and support to cross-functional teams on complex financial issues and transactions
• Mentor, train, and lead junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Monitor changes in financial regulations and accounting standards, ensuring the business remains compliant and adapts to regulatory changes
• Ability to process Payroll as and when required

Skills and Qualifications of the Financial Reporting Manager:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, ideally within a financial services or FCA-regulated environment
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, FRS 102, and FCA regulatory reporting requirements
• Experience managing and developing a team, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions
• High proficiency in financial systems and MS Excel; experience with reporting tools and ERP systems is a plus
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
