FinOps Specialist (GCP)Telecom - London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office) Up to £72,000 + Benefits

OVERVIEW

We are partnering with a leading telecom company as they continue their cloud migration journey. They are seeking a FinOps Specialist to join their cloud center of excellence. Your role will focus on optimizing financial management across multiple cloud platforms, helping engineers and stakeholders reduce costs while ensuring efficient cloud consumption.

This organization is one of the largest telecom service providers globally, operating in over 100 countries. As they transition to cloud services, they are focusing on cost efficiency and optimizing cloud resource management.

THE ROLE

As a FinOps Specialist, you will: * Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and finance teams to manage cloud-related finances. * Monitor and analyze cloud spend across GCP and provide real-time insights through dashboards. * Work with engineers to optimize resource usage, ensuring services are turned off when no longer needed. * Contribute to building a recommender service at a project level to optimize costs and usage rates. * Help implement chargeback processes to track cost drivers and allocate expenses correctly.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Experience with GCP, particularly BigQuery, Compute Engine, Dataflow, and SQL. * Knowledge of cloud cost management tools and dashboard creation using Looker or similar visualization tools. * Strong understanding of FinOps principles, cloud governance, and financial optimization strategies. * Familiarity with chargeback processes and the ability to recommend cost-effective strategies. * A background in GCP engineering is highly desirable.

SALARY Up to £72,000 + benefits
