About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections of fire doors across multiple sites. You will be tasked with inspecting communal fire doors quarterly, along with annual assessments of flat front doors, ensuring all installations are up to current fire safety standards. The role also supports property managers with various building safety checks, helping to deliver comprehensive building safety services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quarterly inspections of fire doors in communal areas, ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation and standards.
  • Conduct annual inspections of flat front doors across residential properties.
  • Document findings meticulously, identifying wear, defects, and non-compliance using specialized inspection software.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and any required actions to ensure adherence to fire safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on evolving fire safety regulations and participate in ongoing training sessions.
  • Assist property managers with general building inspections to support the upkeep of overall property safety.
  • Effectively communicate with building managers, residents, and other stakeholders regarding inspection outcomes, safety concerns, and any required actions.
  • Participate in fire safety audits and reviews when required, ensuring consistent safety improvements across all managed properties.
