An established and highly regarded Fire and Engineering Consultancy is looking for an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join their Kent HQ.

With a dedicated office of 40 professionals, including a collaborative team of Safety Consultants and Fire Engineers, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

As a Fire Safety Consultant, you will provide expert advice and services across a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, and local authorities.

Your role will encompass surveying properties, conducting fire risk assessments, and managing fire risk for a diverse client base.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting fire risk assessments in accordance with UK regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
• Surveying properties and providing tailored fire safety advice to clients.
• Developing fire risk management plans to mitigate potential hazards.
• Producing detailed and compliant reports with practical recommendations for fire safety improvements.
• Collaborating with Fire Engineers and other specialists to deliver a comprehensive service.
• Staying current with UK fire safety legislation and industry best practices.

The Fire Safety Consultant will have

• An Engineering Council Accredited BEng, Hons or MEng or MSc
• Relevant fire safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH Fire Certificate, IFE Level 3, or equivalent.
• Experience conducting fire risk assessments and surveys across various building types.
• A thorough understanding of UK fire safety regulations, including Approved Document B and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A full UK driving licence and the willingness to travel when required.
