FLT Operator - Randstad Delivery (GBS) : Job Details

We have a contractual FLT Operator role available at DS Smith, with a potential pathway to a permanent position. This role is ideal for someone with strong operational skills who is flexible, experienced, and eager to work both days and nights.

Role: FLT OperatorLocation: South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH - DS SmithRate of Pay: £15.40 per hourOvertime Pay:

• OT1: £23.10 (Monday to Thursday at x1.5)
• OT2: £30.80 (Friday to Sunday at x2.0)Contract Length: 3 months rolling, with potential for a permanent positionShift Patterns:
• Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 16:00 (Occasional extended hours on overtime and Friday work as required)

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate machinery to move materials, achieving productivity and performance targets in quality, waste management, and customer service.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per the planned schedule.
• Support and actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Operate a Counterbalance FLT and undertake occasional Warehouse Operative tasks (manual labor is not a primary component of this role).

Essential Requirements:

• Mandatory External Counterbalance FLT License (internal licenses will not be accepted).
• Flexibility to work nights and experience with shift patterns.

Desirable Requirements:

• Driving license and access to a car.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations.
