Hours: 5 days per week, including weekends. No evenings. Average 8 hours per day including 1/2 hour lunch break.

Salary: £27,846

Duration: Permanent contract

What it's like to work here You'll join a team of over 40 staff, 4 team leaders and currently 1 Assistant Manager and we're looking for another Assistant Manager to join the team in this busy operation. Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager your role will be to oversee multi outlet operations on a daily basis, train and develop the team and ensure exceptional customer service for all our visitors.

Dyrham Park is a large multi outlet operation, serving around 250,000 visitors throughout the year. We are looking for someone who is proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment and strives for excellence in all aspects of the operation.

What you'll be doing

As Food and Beverage Assistant Manager, you’ll be working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager. You’ll be helping to look after the entire operation, which includes a large, diverse team, keeping consistently high standards in the team, in the outlets, and in the food and drink we prepare and serve. You’ll always have an eye on ways to improve service and standards for our visitors, staff and volunteers.

You will support the team to help build a great place to work. This could include helping with recruiting and training new people and developing the team. You’ll make sure that the team follow all relevant legislation and National Trust policies.

You will be setting and achieving financial targets to increase income and profits. This could be by driving sales through controlling resources and achieving the best possible customer service.

We will give you an induction that fits the job, which may include time spent at another National Trust property. Training in allergens and food safety, compliance plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development from a wide range of courses if you wish.
