Macildowie are recruiting a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join their finance team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. This role offers the opportunity to work from either our Northampton or Birmingham office. What you'll do

  • Produce month-end reporting, including KPIs, and provide detailed variance analysis of budget / forecasts v actuals with accompanying commentary.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis and long-term business planning of impacts and opportunities.
  • Prepare and delivery of annual budgets and regular forecasting, including comprehensive explanatory notes.
  • Conduct profitability analyses and produce ad hoc reports, including deep-dive investigations into key areas of business performance.
  • Work closely with the finance leadership team, including the CFO, to provide detailed financial insights and resolve any queries.
  • Coordinate with operational divisions to help deliver strategic goals.

What you'll need

  • Demonstrable experience of an FP&A role within Financial Services sector.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently but also collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and logical manner.
  • A high level of commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified.
  • Experience in SAP and financial analysis tools is desirable but not essential.
