About the Client:Our client, an absolute market leader in their field renowned for delivering cutting-edge solutions in secure environments, is looking for a talented Full stack/Backend Developer to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role is primarily backend-focused, with occasional frontend work required. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Python and an understanding in C/C++, with a keen interest in making code more efficient, secure, and stable. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with a proactive approach and a passion for improving codebases.

The Role:As a Full stack/Backend Developer, you will primarily focus on backend development (about 90%), working to refactor and improve existing code to make it more efficient, secure, and maintainable. While the principal focus is on Python, an understanding and experience with C/C++ is required, even if not recent. You'll have the opportunity to refine code that works but needs improvement-taking it from functional to efficient and secure for future use. Frontend work will make up around 10% of the role, with frameworks such as Vue being an advantage.

Our client values autonomy, so they're looking for someone who can take the initiative, critically assess the existing codebase, and offer suggestions for improvement without needing close supervision. There will be an opportunity to influence how the code is re-architected, focusing on future stability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Refactor and improve existing backend code to ensure it is more efficient, secure, and scalable.
• Work primarily in Python, with some C/C++ development when required (recent experience with C++ is not essential).
• Contribute to frontend development using Vue or a similar framework (approx. 10% of the role).
• Collaborate with the team to assess how to improve and re-architect existing code for future stability.
• Proactively review and suggest improvements to the current codebase and architecture, ensuring the development process aligns with long-term goals.
• Work on CI/CD pipelines, pushing and deploying code, particularly focusing on Python-based projects.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure products are built securely and efficiently.
• They are looking for a self-starter who can take ownership of the codebase, proactively suggesting and implementing improvements.

Key Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience as a Full stack or Backend Developer, with strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with C/C++ and willingness to pick it up when needed.
• Familiarity with frontend development, ideally using Vue or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of building, deploying, and maintaining backend systems.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Mobile Development
