Functional Skills TeacherMaidstone, KentPermanent ContractFull - Time£25000 - £36000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Pearson Whiffin are excited to recruit a Functional Skills Teacher to work at a College in Maidstone, Kent who can create an inspiring learning atmosphere. This teacher will supervise and co-ordinate the progress of their subject area, prepare and deliver Functional Skills qualifications, from Entry Level to Level 2. We are looking for a teacher who has knowledge of planning and assessment techniques, who can deliver a safe and secure lesson to students with complex needs and behaviours.

To qualify for this Functional Skills Teacher Role, you will need to have:

• A teaching qualification, minimum level 5
• Relevant classroom experience with knowledge of planning and assessment techniques.
• A DBS or be willing to undertake a new DBS.
• Broad behaviour management experience with students who have difficult needs and can demonstrate extreme behaviour.

Therefore, we wish to find a teacher who can plan exciting and engaging lessons which challenge and push students. As well as being responsible for maintaining good order and discipline among the students, safeguarding their wellbeing.
