Functional Skills English Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor for English in the Offender Learning Sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of learners, helping them improve their skills and contribute positively to their communities.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Develop and deliver high-quality, learner-focused education in English to meet contractual requirements and standards.
• Create engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of a diverse group of learners.
• Assess and record learner progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the learning environment and achieve the best outcomes for all involved.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive setting for education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Full teaching qualification specifically at level 5 or above.
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Proven track record of effective teaching in Functional Skills
• Ability to gain, hold, and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
