Your new roleYou will work closely with the regional accounting teams in order to deliver a first-class professional service to clients, both internal and externally. You will assist with the management of day-to-day accounting services. You will support the client relationships for the allocated portfolios and be responsible for preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS or UK GAAP. You will carry out preparation of consolidated reporting and financial statements, both at asset and fund level, including supporting files and review of work produced by your team. Your role will be responsible for team planning, monitoring deadlines and coaching and developing junior staff members. Your role will lead year-end and audits, ensuring all regulatory and statutory reporting deadlines and filings are achieved. You will support with implementing and continually looking to improve processes while maintaining compliance and documenting procedures.What you'll need to succeedYou will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting skills, ideally gained within real estate funds or an asset management environment, though this is not essential. A comprehensive understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS and other relevant accounting standards, and related preparation of statutory financial statements and auditor liaison. You will have strong communication skills and business partnering experience to build and manage relationships.
