Fund Accountant - Robert Walters : Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join a leading organisation in the investment accounting and reporting sector. Based in Manchester, this role offers a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000. The successful candidate will be responsible for service delivery to an agreed portfolio of clients, in line with client-specific service level agreements.

What you'll do:

As a Fund Accountant, your role will be pivotal in delivering high-quality financial services to an agreed portfolio of clients. You will be tasked with producing various financial reports including Statutory Reporting, Investor Reporting, Board Papers, NAV Calculations among others. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients. You will also have the responsibility of ensuring compliance with group policies while refining existing procedures. This role requires someone who can manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.

• Produce Statutory Reporting, Investor Reporting, Board Papers, NAV Calculations, Income Distribution Calculations and Income Tax and VAT Returns.
• Maintain appropriate records for entities and underlying assets on Yardi.
• Build, develop and maintain good working relationships between the team and its internal/external clients and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and refine existing procedures/practices and processes.
• Provide oversight of loan administration and produce compliance reporting where required.
• Manage invoice authorisation and cash management operations.
• Complete other ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Fund Accountant position is a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with experience in property accounting. Your ability to prepare financial statements under both FRS 102 and IFRS will be crucial in this role. Experience with Yardi would be advantageous but not essential. Your excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, will aid you in performing your duties effectively. Your strong analytical skills coupled with your ability to remain calm under pressure will make you stand out.

• Qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
• Experience of property accounting is preferred
• Experience of using Yardi would be advantageous
• Ability to prepare financial statements under both FRS 102 and IFRS (both standalone and consolidated)
• Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to deliver solutions within agreed time frames
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
