Our client is a dynamic, mid-market private equity firm with offices in Luxembourg, London and other European cities. We are looking for a professional and driven candidate to join their close-knit team. This role has an interesting range of responsibilities and great progression potential.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs an integral part of the finance team you will deliver a range of objectives to ensure that the day to day finance function runs smoothly with a high level of accuracy and delivery on deadlines. You will look after entitles based in both Luxembourg and across other areas of Europe. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Conduct monthly reviews of financial data from administrators, analyzing and questioning any discrepancies from expectations
- Collaborate with administrators, Investor Relations, and the team to prepare high-quality quarterly reports for investors, ensuring timely delivery to Limited Partners
- Prepare quarterly internal management reports for the CFO and Board
- Oversee aspects of year-end financial reporting for the funds, including drafting front-end narratives, reviewing administrator-prepared financial statements
- Compile financials and narrative reports for the Report and Accounts of investments listed on the London Stock Exchange.
- Assist in the valuations process and collaborate with investment professionals to report on portfolio company performance.
- Address investor inquiries by working closely with the investor relations team to provide thorough analysis and external communications
- Partner with the team to enhance processes and contribute to the development of a top-tier finance function
- Support the year-end audit process by managing queries from auditors
Key Competencies and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Fund Accounting, preferably related to alternative and/or private equity funds in Luxembourg
- Strong English communication skills both verbal and written (any additional European languages a bonus)
- Understanding of Lux GAAP and IFRS
- Methodical; excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Enthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with other systems
