Key Responsibilities:
- Fund Accounting: Perform daily accounting functions for assigned funds, including trade processing, cash management, position reconciliation, and corporate action processing.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, 1 and statements of cash flows, 2 in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Investor Reporting: Generate and distribute investor reports, capital statements, and other client communications.
- Audit Support: Assist with annual audits and regulatory examinations, providing necessary documentation and information to auditors.
- Geneva Expertise: Utilize your advanced knowledge of Geneva accounting systems to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure data accuracy. Leverage your experience in system analysis, configuration, and implementation to optimize system utilization an?d contribute to ongoing system enhancements.
- Compliance: Adhere to all internal policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and best practices.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Fund Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of investment accounting principles, including investment valuation, income and expense accruals, and fund performance calculations.
- Geneva Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Geneva accounting systems, including data entry, reconciliation, reporting, and system administration. This includes prior involvement in the analysis, configuration, and implementation of the system.
- GAAP & Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements for investment funds.
- Analytical Skills: Strong an?alytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, clients, and auditors.
- Organisation and Time Management: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
