Description

To contribute to the implementation of the Fundraising & Marketing Plan, maximising fundraising opportunities in the areas of Trust and Foundations, corporate sponsorship and community fundraising strands.* To assist in the achievement of any income targets set for each fundraising strand and monitor and report progress as required throughout the year.* To pro-actively work with colleagues to identify projects as suitable for funding applications, ensuring activities are meaningful and provide value for money.* To assist in any research into suitable Trusts and Foundations and prepare compelling cases for support for key annual projects and core activities, in line with our strategic vision and plans as approved by the Board.* Excellent stewardship and partnership working with funders, maintaining strong and positive relationships and support for the organisation.* Create, manage and oversee donor stewardship programmes by engaging with fundraising stakeholders through social media, phone calls, meetings, written correspondence, events and by creating engaging proposals for fundraising activities.* Fulfil reporting requirements according to the needs of each funder.* In conjunction with colleagues, create and support small fundraising and awareness raising events, which underpin the objectives of the development plan.* Representing East Park by attending and participating in external events and activities.* Working across the organisation, to support the school, workmates and residential accommodation, in their fundraising and awareness raising initiatives.* Ensure that all fundraising information is up to date and available on the East Park fundraising system.* Assist in the management of the existing network of volunteers, liaising with colleagues across to ensure appropriate work is identified and support given.* Working closely with the Finance and Administration Teams, to maximise the potential of gift aid * Conduct regular research into the availability of relevant statutory funds.* Research new Trusts through the use of available resources such as online databases, annual reports, third sector publications etc.

Profile

An appropriate relevant professional qualification, or equivalent work experience.* Certificate in Fundraising / Marketing* Member of Institute of FundraisingWork Experience* Office administration experience* Experience of fundraising* Experience of working in customer facing environment* Marketing and social media experience.* Experience of fundraising administration and databases* Experience in website content writing* Experience in the care and/or education sector* Charity experienceKnowledge* Knowledge of fundraising best practice.* Have a good understanding of social media and the impact technology is having on communications and collaboration.* An understanding of the roles of a variety of disciplines working with children and young people e.g. social work, health, education.* Understanding of children/young people's emotional/physical needs.* Website content managementExpertise & Skills* Excellent writing, proof reading and IT skills* Ability to manage and prioritise own workload* Ability to work to set targets and agreed timescales* Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail* Excellent communication and negotiation skills* Strong relationship management skills* Good presentation skills* Experience in updating website / social media outletsPersonal Qualities* Results orientated, energetic and self-motivated* Creative and constructive approach to
