GCSE English Language Teacher - Reed : Job Details

• Contract: Temporary, 24 hours per week
• Salary: £25-£30 per hour including holiday pay
• Location: Derby

We are seeking a GCSE English Teacher for a temporary position at a college in Derby. This role involves teaching English Language to the 16-18 age group at the Roundhouse Campus from the end of March to the beginning of June. The teaching hours are distributed across 5 days per week.

• Deliver engaging and effective English Language lessons to GCSE students aged 16-18.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and progress.
• Participate in departmental meetings and teacher training workshops.

• Degree in English or a related subject.
• Level 5/6 Teaching qualification or currently working towards this.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE English Language.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
