Gear Grinder - Shorterm Group : Job Details

Job Opportunity: Gear GrinderHours: 44 hours per week Shifts: (Monday-Thursday 6 AM - 4 PM, Friday 6 AM - 12 PM; start time can be adjusted to 7 AM)Contract: 6 months + Job Purpose:We are seeking an experienced Gear Grinder to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to grind gear teeth to drawing specifications.Key Responsibilities:* Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check components.* Write and interpret instructions and procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.* Control machines and processes.* Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.* Analyze information to find the best solutions to problems.* Maintain clear and honest communication at all times.* Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental instructions.* Mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable.* Support all relevant 5S activities and report any near misses.* Ensure proper disposal of waste and report any job-related issues to the line manager.* Undertake any additional responsibilities within your skills and abilities as required by the business.Qualifications & Experience:* Recognised engineering qualification preferred .* Practical, mechanically oriented with good problem-solving skills.* Experience with Reishauer, Niles, and Pfauter gear grinding machines is ideal-we need someone who can hit the ground running.Key Attributes:* Self-motivated* Ability to work in a physically demanding rolePerformance Indicators:* Successful completion of tasks within the allocated time with zero faults.If you have the required experience and are ready to take on a challenging role, we would love to hear from you!
