General Counsel (Sole Counsel)

Based in Oxfordshire /Cotswolds
£100K-£110K + bonus
The duties:
- Providing legal counsel to the Board, C-Suite and operational management;
- Managing legal risk and compliance in multiple jurisdictions;
- Negotiating and executing strategically important commercial agreements with some of the World's leading companies in the UK, Europe and the US;
- Support the supply chain management process with effective contract documentation that apportions risk effectively and appropriately
- Support the pursuit of the IP Strategy in the identification, protection and exploitation of business-critical technology and secure relationships with key technology partners;
- Provide legal support to other functions including IT and HR as necessary
- Manage and resolve customer claims and other disputes
- Establishing an organisation for the provision of legal services, implementing a legal risk management and compliance model comprising policies, procedures, training and development
- programmes whilst adopting a strategy for the cost-effective procurement of external legal resources
- Company Secretarial Services
Requirements
- Practising solicitor or barrister
- Qualified in the UK and registered with SRA or the Bar Association
- Broad generalist experience (mainly commercial) from an in-house role
