General Counsel (Sole Counsel)

Tech/Telecoms firm

Based in Oxfordshire /Cotswolds

£100K-£110K + bonus

The duties:

• Providing legal counsel to the Board, C-Suite and operational management;
• Managing legal risk and compliance in multiple jurisdictions;
• Negotiating and executing strategically important commercial agreements with some of the World's leading companies in the UK, Europe and the US;
• Support the supply chain management process with effective contract documentation that apportions risk effectively and appropriately
• Support the pursuit of the IP Strategy in the identification, protection and exploitation of business-critical technology and secure relationships with key technology partners;
• Provide legal support to other functions including IT and HR as necessary
• Manage and resolve customer claims and other disputes
• Establishing an organisation for the provision of legal services, implementing a legal risk management and compliance model comprising policies, procedures, training and development
• programmes whilst adopting a strategy for the cost-effective procurement of external legal resources
• Company Secretarial Services

Requirements

• Practising solicitor or barrister
• Qualified in the UK and registered with SRA or the Bar Association
• Broad generalist experience (mainly commercial) from an in-house role
