This is a fantastic role for an Accountant who is looking to gain exposure within a global business and develop their career. Study support will be provided to the successful candidate.
The RoleThe duties of the General Ledger Accountant will include:
- Completing all allocated month-end processes in line with agreed deadlines.
- Assisting with maintenance of fixed asset registers, lease reporting, VAT and tax reporting and any other related financial reporting activities.
- Analysing financial data and producing a variety of financial reports
- Performing timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis.
- Supporting with all year-end close activities and statutory accounting work.
- Assisting with any internal and external audit requirements
- Preparing annual tax pack information.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements across all activities.
- Continually reviewing processes to maximise efficiencies.
The PersonThe requirements for the General Ledger Accountant role are:
- Currently studying towards or fully qualified in professional accounting exams (ACCA or CIMA) and/or able to demonstrate Qualified by Experience (QBE).
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience of using SAP advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate appropriately with different stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
- The ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and flexible approach to work.
