General Machinist - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment is currently working with a Sheffield-based manufacturer to recruit a General Skilled Machinist for their Machine Shop.

• Location: Sheffield
• Salary: £26,897.52 - £31,188.04 DOE
• Shift Pattern: Days (Afters may be required as needed)

• Machining components to precise specifications.
• Operating CNC Lathe, CNC Grinding, and Surface Grinding machines.
• Using measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, CMM, and optical measuring tools.
• Following safety protocols and ensuring all products are machined to the provided work instructions.
• Completing all documentation accurately.
• Keeping the machine area clean, tidy, and organised.
• Complying with all health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

• A background in engineering or machining, with the flexibility to work across multiple machining disciplines.
• Experienced in CNC Lathe, CNC Grinding, and Surface Grinding.
• Confident in the use of measuring equipment.
• Apprenticeship-trained or time-served in a similar role.
