About the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our school in Basingstoke. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5), bringing Geography to life with dynamic lessons and innovative teaching strategies. As a key member of our Humanities department, you will foster a love for the subject, help students develop a deep understanding of geographical concepts, and contribute to their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress
  • Prepare students for examinations and ensure outstanding outcomes
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to support different learning styles
  • Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment
  • Participate in curriculum planning, development, and extra-curricular activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching quality
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents

What We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent) and a specialism in Geography
  • Strong subject knowledge across all key stages (experience teaching KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students to achieve their full potential
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Commitment to professional development and a passion for education
