Job Description :

A stellar opportunity for a Global Category Manager to oversee and streamline the strategic procurement and supply chain operations - indirects biased with a directs twist. It requires a high level of understanding of complex strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management across mutiple categories of spend.

Description

Lead and manage complex negotiations through planning, performing cost analysis by creating total cost or acquisition/ product cost lifecycle models, drafting of contracts and creating business cases to maximize the value proposition across all major categories.

Be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining relevant integrated commodity/category supplier strategies that have a clear vision and a strategy for the designated supply chain(s) which requires understanding of the commodity landscape, associated risks, and ability to conduct long term planning.

Strategic sourcing and procurement across multiple categories and sub-categories in complex indirects and also a direct/raw material supply chains [mainly indirects], as well as site-procurement responsibilities.

Manage the identification, assessment, and mitigation of commercial risks within the supply chain to ensure continuity and resilience.

Manage & lead a team of buyer(s) to excel in their strategic tasks by fostering skill development and achieving superior outcomes for the business.

Profile

A successful Global Cat Man should have:

  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong strategic sourcing and inventory management skills.
  • Excellent supplier relationship management skills.
