Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an Global Senior Sourcing Manager on behalf of Mars. This role is a 5 day working week on an initial 6 month contract with potential opportunity to be extended.
The successful Global Senior Sourcing Manager will join the Mars team based in the Paddington Office .You will support the integration of Sourcing functions following recent and impending mergers and acquisitions and general Sourcing activities in the Marketing and Sales, Content remit. Content at Mars consists of, Creative Agencies, Production, Public Relations, Social and Influencers, Packaging Design. This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive impactful change and add value to a global FMCG leader during a pivotal period of growth.
Responsibilities:
• Post-Merger Sourcing Integration: Lead and manage the integration of
Sourcing functions across the acquired and existing entities, ensuring alignment
with company strategies and business goals.
• Supplier Alignment and Optimisation: Evaluate and consolidate supplier
portfolios across all businesses, identifying opportunities for cost savings,
efficiency improvements, and risk reduction.
• Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction
and cash initiative through; negotiation strategies, scope reviews, operational
efficiencies and demand management (scope reduction).
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key internal stakeholders
building essential change driving relationships "from scratch" (e.g., Finance,
Operations, Legal, and IT) to align Sourcing strategies with overall corporate
goals post-merger.
• Contract Management: Review and streamline contracts with existing
suppliers, renegotiate terms if necessary, and ensure all Sourcing contracts
comply with company policies and governance.
• Risk Management: Assess risks associated with supply chain disruptions,
compliance issues, and other potential Sourcing-related challenges resulting
from the merger or acquisition.
• Cultural Integration: Foster a collaborative and cohesive Sourcing culture
between teams from both businesses, promoting knowledge sharing and
integration of best practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor Sourcing operations post-merger and
recommend ongoing improvements to enhance efficiency and value generation.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
• Proven experience in Global Sourcing, with at least 5 years in FMCG or a related
industry.
• Strong understanding of Sourcing processes, supplier management, and
contract negotiation.
• Experience in managing Sourcing integration during mergers, acquisitions, or
business transformations.
• Solid knowledge of Sourcing systems for contract and savings management,
ERP software (e.g., SAP, Coupa or Oracle), and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work
effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to; assess data, identify trends, develop
strategies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage change and
changing scope with comfort.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
