We are currently seeking a Global Visual Merchandising & Training Lead to join our Global Marketing team. The Global Retail Experience team creates the strategy & tools to achieve a premium, engaging and consistent execution across all consumer touchpoints in the retail journey. With a focus on elevating the retail experience at Dr. Martens, we now are looking to drive Global VM guidance and consistency instore ensure we are showing up in the best way for our consumers and our brand. To accompany this guidance we are looking to land this through engaging training that romanticises our product and stories to our store staff globally. We need someone with strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team environment is essential. This person will have a love for retail, our product and to be a part of its future at Dr. Martens. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Responsibilities
- Drive the Global Visual Merchandising Strategy in collaboration with Senior Retail Marketing Manager and lead the development of ‘Brand Collection’ seasonally (our Global mandated assortment).
- Support Senior Retail Marketing Manager on seasonal calendar & consumer journey planning.
- Drive VM principal (inclusive of space planning, store flow, planograms, fixture capacities).
- Partner with and influence, Product Category Teams & GTM teams to showcase how product concepts come to life at the point of sale before all concepts are finalised for sell-in.
- Collaborate with Global Store Design & Procurement team to ensure all fixturing & is fit for purpose before roll-out.
- Deliver seasonal VM Directives that are delivered alongside Retail Marketing toolkits.
- Deliver training modules and workshops on VM & seasonal product stories to region digitally ,championing storytelling to empower our staff and the necessary skills to enable this.
- Act as a brand custodian whilst also supporting the brands commercial goals.
- Manage the creation of simple Plug & Play tools for regions to be able to adapt the visual merchandising principles to their own product ranges / assortments.
- Lead regional teams and counterparts on visual merchandising & ISC (Instore communication) principle of current fleet & new store openings.
- Manage fixture inventory and range plan in virtual Mock-Shop tool.

- 3 - 5 years’ visual merchandising experience within a commercial or retail space.
- The ability to communicate detailed visual concepts both verbally and graphically.
- Knowledge of the global retail landscape.
- Previous experience in building guidelines and training.
- A good understanding of GTM (Go to market) processes- would be advantageous.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Experience in managing & influencing up as well as down.
- Experience working cross functionally.
- Experience in delivering comprehensive guidance and training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and the ability to produce professional presentations using Powerpoint.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work.
- Occasional travel will be required.
