Golang Engineer - (Golang, GO, Engineering, Development, Microservices, Scrum, Kanban, RESTful API’s. Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, BDD, TDD, SDLC, ALM, JIRA) - Permanent - Burgess Hill

Charles Simon Associates are currently recruiting for a Golang Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious global business based in Burgess Hill.

This role would be a hybrid role, onsite 2/3 days per week.

Location: Burgess Hill/Hybrid

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum D.O.E

Skills/Requirements for the Golang Engineer:

• Previous experience within a similar role is vital, this person needs to hit the ground running
• Extensive Golang/GO experience, including designing and developing applications
• Supporting other more junior members, mentoring when needed
• Complete lifecycle development experience
• Strong Microservices experience
• RESTful API’s
• Previously worked within with an Agile environment ideally Scrum or Kanban
• Knowledge and ideally experience working on both DevOps and CI/CD
• Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools like JIRA.
• Exposure to TDD and BDD would be highly desirable

Start date is ASAP for the Golang Engineer

The Golang Engineer will be responsible for:

• Designing, building, testing and deploying backend services using Golang/GO
• Working closely with other engineering, product, and support teams to define, design and implement new features.
• Writing clean, maintainable code that is well-tested.
• Actively participate in resolving incidents that occur during working hours
• Providing guidance on architecture, design patterns, and coding best practices to engineers.
• Implementing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing, build, and deployment processes.
