Exciting Opportunity: Goods in Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver

An experienced Goods in Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver is required to join an established manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £30,500 per annum, alongside a permanent contract after a successful probationary period. With day shifts Monday to Friday and a 45-hour working week.

You MUST hold a Full UK Driving License.

The hiring manager is looking for someone that has previous Stores/Stock Controlling experience, is familiar with booking stock in and out on a computer system, and preferably someone that holds a Counterbalance forklift license that can drive the truck on occasions.

What You Will Do:

• Operate a Counterbalance forklift truck on a daily basis.
• Assist in the yard, providing excellent service to customers.
• Conduct yard and factory maintenance to uphold standards.
• Monitor and meet production requirements efficiently.
• Manage stock through the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and order.
• Participate in audits and stock takes, contributing to the team's success.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse-based computer systems.
• Current Counterbalance forklift license (preferred).
• A strong commitment to adhering to Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and PPE policies.
• A collaborative spirit, ready to assist in various tasks including packing and shipping preparations.

This position is based in the Halesfield Industrial Estate of Telford, Shropshire.
