Key Responsibilities of a Governance and Learning Manager
- Team Leadership: Lead the Governance and Learning team to implement and uphold the Integrated Management System (IMS) strategy.
- Procedure Development: Develop and ensure the effective implementation of procedures, training, and Nuclear Safety Culture activities.
- Quality Improvements: Lead lessons learned, audits, and quality improvements across the project.
- Strategic Support: Support the development of strategic people plans within the nuclear sector.
- Service Delivery: Deliver first-class services to employees and ensure fair and effective implementation of administration processes.
- NSC Representation: Act as the Nuclear Safety Culture (NSC) Representative, providing induction and ongoing training.
Key Deliverable points of a Governance and Learning Manager
- IMS Procedures: Oversee the development and maintenance of IMS procedures and process improvements.
- Audit Coordination: Plan and coordinate internal audit schedules, ensuring timely action closure.
- Reporting: Prepare and present KPI reports and quality management reviews.
- Feedback Management: Manage quarterly IMS feedback sessions with Senior Leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Coordinate the implementation of lessons learned and continuous improvements into IMS.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- Education: Relevant degree (MSc, BSc) or equivalent experience.
- Standards Knowledge: Knowledge of UK and international standards and codes of practice in the nuclear sector.
- Professional Accreditation: Relevant professional accreditation (CQI, IRCA, or equivalent).
- Security Clearance: Ability to achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).
- Auditing Qualification: Lead Auditor or Assessor qualification (ISO 9001:2015 standard).
Additional Qualifications/Experience for a Governance and Learning Manager
- Project Experience: Proven track record in large-scale projects in the nuclear or regulated sectors.
- IMS Implementation: Experience in implementing and maintaining Integrated Management Systems.
- Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership skills.
- Training Delivery: Experience in delivering training in Quality Systems and Nuclear Safety Culture.
