Graduate Assistant Accountant - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Wakefield area as they look for a Graduate Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, accurate and consistent MI which provides a lead indicator view and drives performance improvement
• Analyse financial performance giving insight into key variances
• Assist in the development and implementation of new management information as required
• Be able to analyse and distil large amounts of data to identify key issues and opportunities
• Support the delivery of monthly financial performance packs including KPI reporting 
• Prepare the acceptance reporting each month for distribution to external partners
• Prepare the WIP calculation each month for review by the Commercial Finance Manager
• Robust understanding of key business performance measures
• Distil and present financial data relevant to stakeholders at various levels including Senior Manager
• Ensure the Financial Planning & Analysis team deliver an excellent level of customer service
• Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment
• To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business

Person Specification:

• Strong data manipulation and Excel skills, with the ability to interpret large amounts of information and translate to useful analysis
• Excellent attention to detail, ensures work is robust and appropriately presented to senior stakeholders
• Inquisitive, challenges the status quo, doesn’t take information at face value and questions appropriately
• Demonstrates a high level of learning agility; resourceful and able to gather information quickly
• Flexible and able to work under pressure to strict deadlines, effectively prioritising workload
• Ability to act on own initiative exercising personal and professional judgement to involve others as appropriate
