We are currently looking for a graduate teaching assistant to join a really lovely school in East Dulwich to support a Year 1 Class.

The Roles

As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the teacher and working with small groups of children as required as well as some 1:1 support with under achievers. You will have good literacy and numeracy skills, and a genuine passion for working with children. 

Prior classroom experience is not essential, but you must have worked with primary age children in some capacity. The school are looking for an enthusiastic, fun practitioner with good communication skills and the ability to take direction as well as using initiative. You will have good support from the school's SEND coordinator and class teachers and training will be given.

This role is offered as an ongoing contract from September 2024 to July 2025.

The school

The school is located within walking distance of East Dulwich station and is very popular within the local community. They want to see all pupils progress regardless of their starting point. Pupils feel safe at school, enjoy their education and become confident and positive members of the community.
