About the Role:The successful candidate will work closely with experienced planners on a variety of projects, assisting with the preparation and management of planning applications, environmental impact assessments, and strategic planning initiatives. This role offers a rare opportunity to be part of a consultancy that integrates planning expertise with strategic communications, ensuring clients achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.

  • Conduct research and provide support for planning feasibility studies, site appraisals, and development strategies.

  • Contribute to environmental impact assessments and retail impact assessments.

  • Monitor planning applications and policy developments.

  • Engage with planning authorities, stakeholders, and clients.

  • Support the preparation of masterplans and strategic development plans.

  • Keep up to date with planning legislation, policy changes, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.

  • A good understanding of the Irish planning system, including An Bord Pleanála processes.

  • Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
