Group Accountant - Stuart-Harris Recruitment Consultancy : Job Details

We are working in partnership with a long established Sheffield manufacturing company which has seen strong growth over the past few years - organic growth and growth via acquisition.

We seek to recruit a Group Accountant to join this successful business.

This is a permanent full time office based role in Sheffield - there is free of charge on-site car parking.

Ideal candidates will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and have experience in either industry or accountancy practice (or both). Training and support from the line manager will be available.

The key duties are as follows:

• Management accounts preparation for the Head Office companies
• Preparation of Group summary reporting pack and work with site Accountants to improve reporting
• Pull together and review tax analysis and prepare Head Office analysis on a quarterly basis
• R&D tax claims - pull together site information for submissions and liaise with external advisors
• Corporation tax - data collection to facilitate calculations, quarterly payment on account calculations
• Liaise with the Group’s Auditors in respect of Head Office companies
• Produce consolidated Statutory Group Accounts and those of the subsidiaries
• Process and approve ad-hoc payments through the online banking system
• Assist in the streamlining of processes in the Head Office accounts function
• Credit insurance - annual renewal, forecasts
• Monitoring foreign exchange requirements

The role is a full time Monday to Friday role.

The salary is c£55,000 - £65,000 per annum plus company benefits.
