Group Accountant - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyA well established and successful Suffolk-based commercial group with offices near Ipswich, Suffolk is looking to recruit a "Hands On" Accountant, to take responsibility for the accounting, reporting and general business administration for a number of its group's businesses.This is a great opportunity where you can make this role your own, drive improvement in processes, controls and reporting, and efficiency, as well as improve insight into businesses.Your new roleReporting to the Group Finance Director, the Group Accountant will be responsible for finance for a number of its group businesses. This will include:Overseeing the data entry of the day to day accounting for the group businessesIntercompany accountingBalance sheet reconciliationsProfit and Loss Bank reconciliationsMonthly management reporting with analysis and commentaryCashflow reportingBudgeting and forecastingTaxation including VAT returns, including partial exemptions and P60'sManaging the year-end and liaising with the auditorsLiaison with Bank and other professional bodiesProcess improvementProvide business partner support to the operational stakeholders and the board. What you'll need to succeedThe Group Accountant will have broad financial and management accounting experience, they will have an eye for detail, strong IT skills, including Sage and Excel, and a keen interest in the business world.
