Job Description :

Our client, a leading independent student property letting agency with ambitious growth plans, are currently recruiting for a Group Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in driving financial efficiency and supporting strategic growth objectives.

Key responsibilities will include managing a diverse portfolio encompassing property ownership, management, maintenance, and software development.

  • System Implementation & Management: Develop and maintain robust financial systems.
  • Strategic Support: Collaborate with senior management to design and implement growth strategies.
  • Financial Operations: Manage client invoices, payments, and oversee VAT returns and payroll.
  • Reporting: Produce detailed monthly management accounts and insightful commentaries.
  • Account Maintenance: Verify and post transactions, maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaison Duties: Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and banking partners.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend updates to enhance our accounting systems and processes.
  • Month-End Procedures: Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise junior accounts staff to support process implementation.
  • Year-End Process: Contribute to the preparation of annual accounts and schedules.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Xero is essential; other system experience is advantageous.
  • Organisational Skills: Attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities.
  • Analytical Abilities: Confidence in tackling complex financial challenges.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to work effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Resilience: A calm and composed approach to the demands of a fast-growing business.
What's on offer:
  • Salary between £45,000 - £50,000 per year (Full-time, Permanent)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 1+ year of management experience (preferred)
